Donald Wallace

Don holds a Bachelors degree in marine engineering, a Masters degree in materials engineering and an MBA.

Starting his career in 1980 in the UK merchant marine, Don completed an engineering cadetship before moving into design and development of heavy marine and construction equipment and spent 9 years working for Komatsu UK rising to the position of senior manager of design and development. Moving to Australia in 1998, Don joined Thales Underwater Systems and worked in various senior engineering, project management and operations management roles until the sale of the Seismic division to Sercel in 2004. Following the takeover, Don served as VP of Operations until moving onto a consulting career in 2005.

Recently, Don has been involved in a wide range of project management and operations management activities including assisting in the CMMI (Capability Maturity Model Implementation) introduction for two large organisations. It is Don’s aim in the immediate future to play a larger role in implementation of CMMI projects.

Don’s 26 years of experience in industry including over 10 years of senior management experience in engineering, operations and project management enables him to competently tackle a very broad range of projects and deliver genuine results.
